Extraordinary Meeting of the NHIF Supervisory Board on Sunday

The Supervisory Board of the National Health Insurance Fund will hold an extraordinary meeting on Sunday to discuss the new draft budget of the NHIF for 2026. This is according to the published agenda of the Board.

The meeting is convened following the agreement reached today between employer organizations, trade unions, and the ruling coalition regarding changes to the budget framework. According to the agreement between the parties, the Ministry of Finance was to provide the social partners with the updated version of the state budget along with the medium-term forecast.

Over the weekend, the Supervisory Boards of the NHIF and the NSSI must approve the agreed parameters.

On Monday, December 8, a meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation will be held, after which the draft will be reviewed by the Council of Ministers. The state budget is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly as early as the early afternoon.
