Over 350 patients and MMA staff members gained access to their electronic health records via eHealth
More than 350 patients and staff members of the Military Medical Academy (MMA) now have access to their electronic health records through the free mobile application #eHealth.
This is the first initiative implemented on-site at the medical facility with the assistance of Information Services. It is set to be rolled out across the remaining military hospitals in Plovdiv, Varna, Sliven, Pleven, Hisarya, and Bankya.
As a reminder, eHealth provides free access to all available information for every citizen within the National Health Information System. Parents also automatically receive access to the health records of their children under the age of 18.
The application displays all registered examinations, laboratory tests, hospitalizations, issued referrals, prescriptions, and administered vaccines. It is continuously being upgraded and now includes a “Health Library” section.
Every Bulgarian citizen—regardless of their health insurance status—possesses a personal electronic health record. Users with an electronic or cloud-based signature can access it independently. For all others, assistance is provided at the offices of the Regional Health Inspectorate (RHI), the Regional Health Insurance Fund (RHIF), and Information Services AD.
Every weekday during business hours, authorized staff assist those wishing to access their health records via their mobile phones. The process takes only a few minutes. You only need to present an ID card and have a smartphone. For convenience, it is recommended to download the free #eHealth application from your mobile device’s digital store in advance.
