The objective is to ensure faster access to life-saving equipment in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the draft, devices may be located in a wide range of public spaces\u2014schools, transport vehicles, commercial and sports facilities, cultural and administrative buildings, as well as locations with high public footfall.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ordinance also sets specific requirements for the installation sites. Defibrillators must be placed in visible and easily accessible locations, clearly marked with directional signs or other signaling. The devices should also include instructions for use, so they can be operated by individuals without medical training.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A six-month period is provided for existing defibrillators to be brought into compliance with the new rules.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry reminds that, following amendments to the Health Act, as of the beginning of 2026, a provision has been introduced allowing any citizen to use an automated external defibrillator in emergency situations in public places.
