This was reported by Reuters.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The substances under discussion are part of a group of 14 products that the FDA prohibited from production by compounding pharmacies in 2023 under the Joe Biden administration, citing risks related to immunogenicity, toxicity, and contamination.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite limited scientific data, peptides are gaining significant popularity, particularly among health and wellness influencers who recommend them for injury recovery, inflammation reduction, and weight loss.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In recent years, they have become increasingly sought after within the fitness community, with interest bolstered by the success of peptide-based weight loss medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FDA&#8217;s decision also comes amid public support from U.S. Health Secretary Robert F.
