€1.9 million investment in pediatric oncohematology at ISUL

The Ministry of Health is providing €1.9 million for the complete renovation of the Clinic of Pediatric Clinical Hematology and Oncology at Queen Joanna University Hospital – ISUL. This was announced by the Ministry of Health.

The funds will be directed toward modernizing the facility, including a major renovation of the building and the replacement of key utility systems. The clinic also houses Bulgaria’s only center for hematopoietic cell transplantation in children.

The project includes the renovation of patient rooms, sanitary facilities, and medical offices, as well as the installation of modern medical gas, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. In parallel with the renovation work, new medical equipment will also be delivered.

The modernization is expected to improve treatment conditions and ensure a higher level of safety, including better protection against infections. The renovated environment will also create better conditions for the stay of both the children and their families.

The investment is part of the efforts to increase the quality of care for the most vulnerable patients and to bring healthcare facilities into compliance with modern medical standards.
