Proposal for Management Change at Fourth MHAT and Financial Support from the Municipality

A report submitted to the Sofia Municipality proposes the dismissal of Executive Director Dr. Stoyan Madzharov and the replacement of the entire Board of Directors of Fourth MHAT. The document was prepared by the Chair of the Committee on Healthcare and Social Activities, Vanya Grigorova, Deputy Chair Saad Aluani, and a group of municipal councilors, and is set to be reviewed at a committee meeting.

The proposal states that the medical facility is facing long-standing financial, personnel, and management issues that necessitate a change in leadership. In addition to the dismissal of Dr. Madzharov, the proposal includes the removal of board members Georgi Horozov and Tomi Popmarkov, as well as the election of a new Board of Directors.

According to the report, the new management body will be required to elect an executive director in accordance with regulatory requirements. It is also envisioned that the Sofia Municipality will grant a loan of €800,000 to the hospital with a repayment term of up to 60 months. The objective is to ensure the normal functioning of the medical facility and the continuity of medical activities.
