Galab Donev to Coordinate Healthcare Policies
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Galab Donev will coordinate the work of the Ministers of Labor and Social Policy, Healthcare, and Agriculture and Food. This was announced by the government press office after Prime Minister Rumen Radev distributed the functions for coordinating the cabinet’s general policy among the four deputy prime ministers.
In addition to the healthcare portfolio, Donev will be responsible for the government’s interaction with the State Agency “State Reserve and War-Time Stocks” and the State Agency for Child Protection.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investment, and Industry Aleksandar Pulev will coordinate the work of the Ministers of Regional Development and Public Works, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Transport and Communications, Energy, and Environment and Water.
His portfolio also includes the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance, the State Agency for Road Safety, the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets, the Public Enterprises and Control Agency, the Nuclear Regulatory Agency, and the Patent Office.
Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov will coordinate policies in the fields of education and science, culture, tourism, and youth and sports. He will also be responsible for interaction with the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency, the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training, the State Commission on Information Security, the State Agency for Refugees, the Archives State Agency, and the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad.
Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Pekanov will be responsible for the management of European funds, as well as for interaction with the National Statistical Institute.
Prime Minister Rumen Radev will personally oversee the activities of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Internal Affairs, and Justice, as well as the work of the State Intelligence Agency, the State Agency for National Security, and the State Agency for Technical Operations.
