A blood donation campaign launches on May 4 at MBAL – Pazardzhik

The Department of Transfusion Hematology at MBAL – Pazardzhik is launching a blood donation drive that will take place throughout the month of May. The initiative begins on May 4 and aims to collect blood from volunteers of all blood types.

Those wishing to donate can do so every weekday between 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM at the hospital’s Blood Bank. The medical facility specifies that blood donors can be any healthy individual between the ages of 18 and 65 who has no contraindications and has not received a tattoo or piercing within the last six months.

The procedure is brief and safe, conducted under medical supervision. The hospital reminds the public that there is no alternative to blood, and it is vital every day for patients in emergency conditions, during surgeries, or for the treatment of serious illnesses.

In addition to saving human lives, blood donation aids in the regeneration of blood within the body and has a positive effect on the donor’s health.

MBAL – Pazardzhik urges people to join the initiative, emphasizing that a single donor can help save up to three human lives.
