BMA to Host the 2027 Meeting of European Doctors

The Bulgarian Medical Association will host the Spring Meeting of the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) in 2027, the professional organization announced.

The decision was made during the CPME General Assembly, held on March 20–21, 2026, in Dublin, Ireland, with the participation of representatives from national medical organizations across Europe. The meeting in Bulgaria is scheduled for March 12–13, 2027.

At the forum in Dublin, the Bulgarian Medical Association was represented by the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Nikolay Branzalov, and Assoc. Prof. Georgi Todorov. Topics discussed included digital determinants of health, online child protection, healthcare workforce development, and the regulation of medical innovations.

“Hosting this event is a recognition of the BMA’s role as an active partner in the European dialogue and the contribution of the Bulgarian medical community,” the organization stated.

The event is expected to bring together representatives of medical organizations from across Europe and focus on key public health policies.
