Construction of 100 outpatient clinics begins in 37 municipalities

The actual implementation of projects to establish 100 outpatient clinics for ambulatory care in 37 municipalities across the country is beginning. Contracts with local authorities have already been signed, the Ministry of Health announced.

The initiative is being implemented under the Recovery and Resilience Plan and aims to improve access to medical services in small settlements and remote regions. The plan involves the construction of new infrastructure, provision of modern equipment, and the creation of working conditions for medical professionals outside major cities.

The new outpatient clinics will be opened in 96 villages and four towns. They will be provided for use free of charge to doctors and medical teams through contracts with the respective municipalities, which is intended to facilitate access to primary medical care near people’s places of residence.

The projects include both the construction and renovation of buildings, as well as the implementation of modular solutions. In parallel, modern equipment and the possibility for remote consultations via telemedicine will be provided.

As part of the initiative, a digital platform for communication between patients and medical professionals is also being developed. It is expected to operate in synchronization with the National Health Information System and the regulatory framework being prepared for remote medical assistance.

The first contracts for construction and installation activities and the delivery of modular outpatient clinics have already been concluded. The deadline for project implementation is June 30, 2026.

The implementation of the investment is expected to significantly improve territorial coverage and ensure more equitable access to healthcare services across the country.
