Dr. Slavcho Bliznakov remains Executive Director of St. Anna University Hospital – Sofia

Dr. Slavcho Bliznakov has been re-elected as Executive Director of St. Anna University Hospital – Sofia and will lead the medical institution for the next three years. This was confirmed by the final results of the Ministry of Health’s competition, published on the department’s official website.

Dr. Yuliyan Mollov ranked second, followed by Dr. Atanas Andreev in third place.

Dr. Bliznakov graduated in medicine in 1994 from the Medical University – Sofia. His professional career began at the Emergency Medicine Clinic of the Military Medical Academy, after which he won a competition to work at the Neurosurgery Clinic of the N. I. Pirogov University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine, I. where he specialized in neurosurgery.

He holds master’s degrees in Health Management and Business Administration. From 2004 to 2010, he served as Deputy Director of St. Anna University Hospital. Between 2011 and 2015, he was the Executive Director of the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment – Haskovo, and since 2016, he has served as the Executive Director of St. Anna University Hospital – Sofia.
