Ministry of Health Discusses Patronage Care Funding with BAPZG

The Minister of Health, Assoc. Prof. Mikhail Okoliyski, and Deputy Minister Prof. Antonia Dimova held a meeting with representatives of the Bulgarian Association of Health Care Professionals (BAPZG), the Ministry of Health reported.

The main focus of the conversation was the development of patronage care, with the Ministry of Health indicating that opportunities are being sought to provide national funding for individual and group practices, as well as for activities related to early childhood development.

“Health care professionals play a key role in the entire healthcare system. Your work is directly related to the daily support of patients,” stated Assoc. Prof. Okoliyski.

For her part, Prof. Dimova emphasized that the introduction of public funding could attract more young specialists to the sector. “This is a first step that sets the direction, and the results will be seen in the long term,” she noted.

BAPZG expressed readiness to present specific proposals for the development of patronage care, while the Ministry of Health assured that it would continue the dialogue with professional organizations to develop sustainable solutions.
