On the occasion of World Mental Health Day – October 10, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the National Center of Public Health and Analyses and Information Services JSC, introduced a new “Mental Health” section in the Health Library of the electronic patient record, the Ministry reports.

The new section provides accessible and verified information on the most common mental disorders. This includes anxiety and depression, their symptoms, support options, and the importance of early recognition and treatment. The goal is to increase public awareness and further encourage care for mental well-being as an integral part of overall health.

The theme for World Mental Health Day this year, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is “Access to Services: Mental Health in Disasters and Emergencies.” The focus is on the need for support and timely care for people who have experienced disasters, wars, or other crisis events, which often lead to serious emotional and psychological consequences.

The Ministry notes that the “Health Library” module is accessible through the National Health Information System (NHIS) and the eHealth mobile application. It consolidates verified expert information prepared by the Ministry, partner institutions, and specialists in various medical fields.

We continue to enrich the library’s content to ensure it remains an accessible and reliable source of up-to-date and useful health information for citizens, the health ministry concluded.
