NHIF Supervisory Board reviews hospital budgets for September and October
The Supervisory Board of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) will discuss proposals for the approval of hospital activity budgets for the months of September and October. Additionally, the board will address funding for medical devices and medications in hospital care. The meeting is scheduled for this afternoon, according to the governing body’s preliminary agenda.
Furthermore, the supervisors will review amendments to the rules for approving funds for both outpatient and hospital care. The agenda also includes a discussion on proposed changes to Ordinance 1. This ordinance regulates the payment methods for medications, medical devices, and dietary foods for special medical purposes. It also governs assistive devices for people with disabilities.
The ordinance also provides for the regulation of discount negotiations and the reimbursement of excess funds through the application of a mechanism ensuring the predictability and sustainability of the NHIF budget.
