The National Society of General Practitioners in Bulgaria (NSGPB) urges for the provision of an opportunity to correct immunizations already reported to the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) in which technical errors have been made.
In this regard, the Society has sent an official letter to the Ministry of Health, the NHIF, and the Bulgarian Medical Association.

The influenza immunization campaign under the National Program is currently underway, running in parallel with vaccinations against pneumococci and COVID-19.
As with every year, technical inaccuracies occur during the reporting of vaccines, related to the numerous alphanumeric identifiers for each administered dose.
“These inaccuracies lead to payment refusals for diligently performed work, which is discouraging and demotivating for the physicians involved in immunoprophylaxis,” the NSGPB stated.

The organization emphasizes that such a correction option would prevent tension and ensure the smooth progression of the immunization process.
“It is necessary to do this promptly, as invoices with refused payments are expected in the coming days, which would create unnecessary tension,” the NSGPB added, expressing hope that the institutions will respond to the appeal.
