Only hospitals will be permitted to perform mobile medical activities
Only active treatment hospitals will have the right to perform mobile preventive and screening activities in hard-to-reach and remote areas. This is stipulated by the amendments to Ordinance No. 49 of the Ministry of Health, published in the State Gazette.
To carry out such activities, the respective hospital must obtain a medical activity permit in accordance with the Law on Medical Establishments, by undergoing the specified procedures or by entering into a cooperation agreement with another hospital.
The ordinance specifies that mobile activities may not duplicate the preventive examinations and dispensary monitoring performed by general practitioners. Examinations will be carried out in designated and equipped premises within the respective settlement or through specialized mobile medical examination units. The premises must meet minimum equipment requirements, which are detailed in the ordinance.
The new requirements for mobile preventive and screening examinations will take effect at the beginning of next year.
