The Council of Ministers Adopted a National Plan for Prenatal and Neonatal Screening until 2027
The government approved a National Plan for the development of prenatal and neonatal screening, as well as screening for socially significant diseases until 2027, the Council of Ministers announced.
The document is part of the implementation of Reform 5, “Support for better provision of preventive screening activities,” within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). It aims to build a comprehensive vision for the organization and future development of screening in the country, with an emphasis on prevention and early diagnosis.
Key measures include modernizing and expanding existing programs and establishing a National Interdisciplinary Center for Comprehensive Screening. The expected result is better identification of individuals at high risk for health problems, which will allow for timely interventions and contribute to improved health and quality of life for the population.
