The government withdraws the 2026 draft budgets for the state, the NHIF, and the Social Security System.

The Council of Ministers proposes that the National Assembly adopt a resolution to withdraw the 2026 State Budget Bill, according to the government press office. This was decided during a remote government session. The same resolution also withdraws the budget bills for the National Health Insurance Fund and the State Social Security System.

The government’s decision has already been submitted to the National Assembly. Following the Parliament’s resolution, the Cabinet will initiate a new budget procedure, the Council of Ministers added.
