The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science are taking joint action to introduce health education in schools by approving a conceptual framework for promotion, prevention, and prophylaxis activities. This was reported by the health ministry.

The document lays the foundation for the systematic integration of health education across all stages of schooling—from primary to high school. The primary goal is to build knowledge, skills, and attitudes toward a healthy lifestyle among students.

The conceptual framework covers a wide range of topics, including personal hygiene, healthy eating, physical activity, mental health, addiction prevention, sexual and reproductive health, as well as basic first aid skills. The content is intended to be age-appropriate and to build sequentially at each educational stage.

The project was developed by an inter-institutional working group involving experts from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the National Center of Public Health and Analyses. The document has already been published for public consultation, and feedback has been received from professional, patient, and civic organizations, some of which is reflected in the final version.

The framework is to be approved by a joint order of the two ministers, after which its phased introduction into the educational system will begin.

By implementing this document, the institutions aim to create a sustainable model of health education that will support the development of healthy habits, the prevention of risk factors, and the increase of personal responsibility toward health from an early age.
