The Minister of Health, Mikhail Okoliyski, has approved a conceptual framework for promotion, prevention, and prophylaxis activities in school education, according to the Ministry of Health. The document introduces a more structured approach to health topics, which until now have been addressed in a fragmented manner across various academic subjects and initiatives.

The framework covers key areas such as personal hygiene, healthy eating, physical activity, mental health, addiction prevention, sexual and reproductive health, as well as first aid. The content is organized to build progressively at each educational stage – from primary to secondary education.

The document was developed jointly by experts from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the National Center for Public Health and Analyses. It is part of the implementation of a government plan to strengthen the role of health education in schools.

The framework is intended to serve as a guideline for better coordination between institutions without changing existing curricula. The goal is to achieve greater consistency and effectiveness in building health knowledge and habits among students.

The adoption of the document lays the foundation for a sustainable model of health education aimed at forming a responsible attitude toward personal health from an early age.
